Notes for Angelina PEDRAITA
Angelina’s original first name was different when she was baptized in Switzerland. Her grandmother started calling her Angelina. Her grandmother raised her in Switzerland until she was 9 years old then sent her to the USA, with friends of the family, to be with her mother, father and sisters and one brother. Her parents owned a hotel at Cayucos, CA.
Angelina came into Cayucos in a row boat sent in from a steam ship anchored off the California Coast.

Anecdotal information was supplied by Johanna Vanoni, November 2008.
Notes for Marco Antonio (Spouse 1)
Marco came to the United States in about 1881 at the age of 16. His brother, Battista, was already in the USA. Marco had a dairy farm at San Simeon, California that he eventually sold to William Randolph Hearst. He then settled on a ranch near Geyserville, California.
