Francis J. Conner, son of Christopher Conner and Anna Lackaff, was born on August 12, 1911, in Portland, Oregon. He married Marie Elizabeth Morelli on September 4, 1941, in California. Frank served in the military as a Private in the Army 12th Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He died of war wounds on March 22, 1945, in the Philippines at age 33. Frank was awarded the Purple Heart, the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, a Bronze Service Star, and a Good Conduct Medal. He was buried at Fort William McKinley cemetery in Manila, the Philippines, (plot A, row 3, grave 62)., His memorial marker is at St. James Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington.

Marie & Frank were married in Reno, Nevada. According to her oldest nephew, Richard Fall, they lived in Sebastopol, near Covert Lane. Frank drove a beer delivery truck and worked at a bar in Monte Rio called the Pink Elephant. Marie also worked at the Pink Elephant.
