Franca Panizza was born in Lierna in 1952 where her family has lived for more than 800 years. She attended a technical high school and studied foreign languages before beginning her career at Banca Commerciale Italiana located in Lecco. She worked mostly at the stock exchange office, sometimes at the foreign trade office, and most recently at the credit office (which she liked the least). She left her job in 2005 and now is now retired. After retiring she developed a great interest in genealogy and historical researches. Her other interests include gardening, reading, cooking, art, going around to see new places and many other things.

Because of her special connections, Franca was able to gain access to the Lierna parish records where she was able to find the Morelli ancestral information included on this website.
