Came to the USA in April, 1911 to join his brother, Atillio, who was already in Modesto, California. He returned to Aurigeno where he died in 1973.

He is fondly remembered by David Vogelsanger, Swiss Counsel General who spent many summers in Aurigeno during his childhood and currently (2007) owns the summer home of the Swiis painter, G. A. Vanoni, located in
