Notes for Josephine MAZZA
Josephine came to the USA on 4/15/1903.

In April, 1922, she was arrested for selling liquor to an indian. The judge gave her a choice of $150 fine or 150 days in jail, and she chose to pay the fine. Her son, Pete Morelli was cited to the juvenile court.
Notes for John Antonio (Spouse 1)
Tony came to the USA in 1885 with his mother and brother, Lee Gaudentio. He lived in the lumber camps with his father, mother, and two brothers until 1892 when they bought a farm 2 miles north of Occidental. He was naturalized on 5/10/1894 in Santa Rosa, California.

The 40-acre parcel that Tony received when the Morelli property was divided in 1906 eventaully passed to Tony’s 3 sons. In the 1950’s, Peter Morelli was deeded a separate 8-acre parcel as his separate property. The remaining 32 acres belonged to Frank and Victor. Peter then sold his parcel to a land conservancy group. When Frank died in 1988, Victor became the sole owner of the 32 acres, and when Victor died in 2003, the property passed to his two nephews and one niece who sold it in 2005.
